It is important that your first contact with a trained and professional counsellor makes you feel heard and helps you to build trust. I am a member of The British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapists and adhere to their guidelines and standards. I have my private practice in Nyon and cover the Geneva and Vaud areas. I find that there are many ex-pats and international people looking for therapy / counselling / coaching who would prefer to see an English speaking therapist / counsellor / coach.
Getting in Touch
It can be difficult to decide whether counselling/psychotherapy is the appropriate next step for you and it is natural to feel unsure. It is very important to find a counsellor with whom you feel connected and can build trust. Therefore, I encourage an initial consultation where we can meet, discuss and you can see if you feel comfortable before any decision to continue the work is made.
I believe that we are all different and so, I like to look at your unique set of circumstances and create a bespoke approach to addressing your needs.
I have specialised in the complexities of relationships, trauma, couples therapy, family/trauma constellations and parenting. I use a variety of techniques and methods which I have accumulated in my 24 years of experience in the field which include; constellations, gestalt chair work, working with the unconscious, guided imagery, art therapy, body awareness, trauma work and meditation.
Through my training I have become passionate about the complexity of relationships. This includes providing tools for and guiding couples in how to repair their relationships.
I have a Post Graduate Diploma in Psychosynthesis Counselling and in Couples Counselling, as well as an Honours Degree in Social Psychology. I have trained at The Psychosynthesis and Education Trust in London and with Dr. Albrecht Mahr, a Psychiatrist and international leading authority, who also works in global and political conflict resolution. More recently, I have trained with Professor, Dr. Franz Ruppert, who has made profound head way in working with the complexities of trauma. He has published many books and his work is currently focused on the development of identity orientated psychotrauma theory (IoTP).
My personal life experience has been orientated around cultural diversity. I am of mixed origin and have lived in a number of countries and cultures. I welcome diversity of every kind and appreciate both the richness and challenges it brings.
I am a member of the British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapists and adhere to its ethical framework for good practice.
